Bio: 

Dr. Eran Toch is a senior lecturer at the Department of Industrial Engineering, at Faculty of Engineering at Tel Aviv University, and co-head of the iWit Lab (Interacting with Technology Lab). Previously he was a post-doctoral fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, and he received his Ph.D. from the Technion "Israel Institute of Technology". Eran's work has been supported by various agencies, including grants from the Israel National Fund (ISF), Israeli Ministry of Science, the Israeli National Cyber-Bureau, and the European Union Horizon 2020 program. Eran's research group is working on various projects related the intersection of mobile computing, privacy and human behavior analysis. On the one hand, the groups uses mobile computing as a tool to analyze large-scale behavior in urban environments and to design service systems with better outcomes and with privacy protection. On the other hand, the group also aims to understand how mobile computing technologies affect the way people interact in urban environments.
